Throughout her career, Tanya has worked in film, as an academic English teacher, and as an immigration advisor and human rights defender. She has been CEO of organisations, Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS) and Dress for Success Sydney. In addition, Tanya has been involved with Indigenous Literacy Foundation, Childhood Dementia Initiative and Stepping Stone House. She is a current associate with Leaders for IMPACT Network and is director of TJV Consulting. Tanya was an Impact 25 winner and was recognised through the AFR 100 Women of Influence as co-winner of the NFP section in 2018.

Tanya was also a fellow at the Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership and holds qualifications from UNSW and The University of Manchester.

She is an advocate for a world where progressive ideas and social justice promote dignity and respect for all, and driven by passion and integrity is a collaborative and ethical leader.
